There is a way for black to draw by doing that, but there’s another move for black, a simpler draw. Black should advance: a5. If white then captures it, the draw is easy; if white advances b5, then black plays Kb8, getting a draw after white plays Kc5. If white blunders with pawn-to-b6, black wins.
